All the pages on this site are written in Obsidian and then synced with GitHub.

Pretty darn cool, right!?

I followed the instructions here: Digital Garden - Publish Obsidian Notes For Free.

I expect this to become my main site for my blog by September 2025. Until then, I'll work on the design. Clean and minimal, reflecting the productive dad brand.

Things I still want to do:

• Get dark mode working properly. Damn page keeps flashing white.
• Add a favicon. Needs to be an SVG file
• Add a footer
• Figure out how to update the font
• Change to a custom mono font
  • Updated the css file to use one of my favourite fonts, IBM Plex Mono
• Learn to add and size an image
  • I simply needed to add an image into the page the same way you usually do in Obsidian.
• Figure out how to deploy directly from Obsidian and skip Vercel
  • Deploying to Vercel became easier when I realised you could rename the main branch in GitHub to production. That makes all your changes deploy straight to live.
• Add a menu bar to the top
  • Trying to figure this out. I know Teresa Watts has done it on her public Obsidian.
  • Added a custom navbar to the navbar.njk file. The cool thing is I can update this website how ever I want.
